120 miles and 7,500ft of climbing with Daniel yesterday. Weather was perfect. Crisp air, slight breeze and fall colors in their peak.
Great return loop on the east side of Hudson. Bear Mtn Bridge to Rt 6 into Peekskill is a fun climb and descent.
Went through town before Rt 6 became a highway and followed 202 to Yorktown Heights. 202 is a high traffic road but has new pavement and a wide shoulder. Puts you right onto North County Trail. Followed all the way down to Yonkers and the new section of South County Trail is open. Basically car-free all the way down to Van Cortland Park where you can take the dirt trail that is somewhat roadie-friendly.
