Everyone is coming out this Saturday for spring cleaning, durt digging and general bike-path-fixing mayhem, right??

Rob - I assume the jumps are in good riding shape so it's worth bringing the DJer?

I can't make it. My wife has a 12 hour work day on Saturday so I'll be home with the kids.

jumps should be fine to ride.

bring a bike, and a krypto to lock it to the fence WHILE YOU'RE WORKING.

w/o a lock is fine... there is a spare there, and your bike will be 30 ft away from you the whole time. don't sweat it.

Anyone have a Hayes bleed kit I can borrow? I will need it for a couple of days though. I can return it on your next visit to HB.

Thanks

As you can see from the weather radar, we got some showers earlier this morning, but it'll be clear by 9 am for trailwork, so everyone come on out.

For jump work, that early morning rain should make the conditions pretty sweet.

Great work today guys. I'm physically wrecked, limping, bruised and sore, but we got an incredible amount of work done. Pics to come...

Thanks for a great turn out guys.
Got a lot done on the DJ even if it does not look like it. (photos will come eh Rob?)
Beginner line is finished, middle line is running smoother and general tidy up got done.
That was the longest day at HB for me yet. 8.15 jump for an hr, just under 6hrs on the end of a shovel then jump for 1 1/2 hrs.

Beat.

I can't believe that Chris and I moved that many rocks with just the two of us.

We're about half-done with the switchback raising now. One more work day with a few more people (and the wheelbarrow and a lot of dirt) and we'll have it ready to ride.

That project has been on our agenda since the switchback was built (May 07) so it's good to finally get some progress on it.

Jumps look spectacular. It just keeps getting better and better.

Great day today... easily 50 hours of work. So stoked to see so many workers.

Extended and widened the Intermediate Jump 3 into more of a hip, adjusted the lip. Dozens of wheelbarrows' worth of dirt. It now connects to the 3rd jump of the Expert line. I'd say we have more work to do on this (more dirt; the spine needs to be higher).

Back:

On the beginner line, we lengthened and made more shallow the landing of the 1st jump, and turned the 2nd jump into a roller. This line is now much safer for beginners. It looks better, and it is DONE! It's nice to finish a project.

Telltale itch around my wrists (as expected). Ugh.
