I know Steve and Noah raced this last year, registration is open for '08 and I'm keen to give at least one of these races a try this year.

July 26 and 27th so annoyingly it conflicts with Kendafest...

Thoughts?

Looks good, conflicts with the Wilderness 101 also - popular weekend Smile
I'd love to give one of the nue mtb 100's a crack but an nycmtb team at Killington could be really good fun.

Kendafest, ORAMM, Wilderness 101... lots of conflicts on that weekend!

i was hoping to do the 24hr of temecula solo in april but doesn't look like i'll be in any form. anyone planning on being in SOCAL for teaming up?

i was looking for some east coast endurance races, this looks promising.
what's kendafest and wilderness 101 like?

I am in for Killington again. As long as it doesn't rain, it is a blast.

Plus, it would be cool to compete with the Sid's teams. One of their teams won our sport class last year...

I bet Noah is up for it, too.

I'll check with the other guys we raced with last time.

I would love to be a part of the Killington race. It looks like a 5 hour drive...not too shabby. It would be cool to get a couple 4 person teams up there.

Sounds like plenty are up for it, perhaps we could muster a couple of sport class teams? Does anyone fancy giving the expert class a go? There's also a duo pro/expert although I doubt that can be considered "fun".

it looks like you have to have real expert/pro experience with results to enter that category...i wonder what that means exactly.

How many do we need per team, 4/5?

I'm counting 7 names below if everyone is interested.

John,
Steve,
Jae?
Al,
Noah,
Nate
Antonio?

NYCMTB jerseys a pre-requisite Very Happy

You may talk me out of the ORAMM in favor of this. Depends on whether the parents succeed in finding a rental house in NC that weekend.

I'd really like to put together a competitive "Clydesdale" team, with each member over 200 lbs or combined team weight of 830+ lbs. Unfortunately, Antonio just lost 15 lbs and is now too much of a lightweight for me. Wink

Quote:
AMTRI Rules & Regulations

RACE CLASSES
All age classifications are based on the age of each racer as of December 31st of the current year. The minimum age for racing is 12. Teams may compete in a class that is higher than their highest caliber racer (sports may race in the expert class), but teams may not compete in a class that is lower than their highest caliber racer (experts cannot race in the sport class). There is no beginner class. These events are not recommended for entry-level racers.

I see two options:
1) Two 4-man teams - 1 expert team and 1 sport team.
2) Two 5-man teams (co-ed?) - allowed 1 expert/ team.
I think option 2 could make things very fun indeed Smile

I'm good with lights.

Jamie,
Maybe you can hide some lead weights somewhere on your body to make up for my "skinny" frame and get us into the clydesdale category? Shocked

Come to think of it, I've got contact information for the guys who entered the Clyde class at the Highbridge race. Maybe I'll have to recruit... Wink

Yep I'm good for lights too.
202 is what the scales at the missus' gym tell me. I'd like to be lighter and am hoping the recent roady exploits will increase my power: weight. Bit worried about developing Rasmussen-esque upper arms though.

Yea, if you like to LOSE.

I won't be any lighter than 195. Jamie's definitely got enough fa... um, weight ...to push us all over the minimum.
