Free beer from the tap room for the training session, and two free beers for all volunteers at the event.

Makes me wish we had such tight brewery sponsorship in NYC...

Here's a shot from my commute home last Wednesday night...

Almost all good. Haven't got full strength back in the shoulder yet. But I can road ride no problem. Might need another couple of weeks before I can XC ride, but I'm itching to get out there on dirt before the weather turns to shit.

Almost time to put the studded tyres on the commuter. A couple of icy spots on 59 this morning.

Chain came off my SS commuter this morning, luckily I was just coasting down a rough section of road at the time. Very grateful that I wasn't putting any power into the pedals which could have caused me to crash...

This morning was fine, the windchill riding home last night really got to my fingers though. It took most of the evening for them to fully recover.

Does that mean your short sleeves got cut down to a tube top?

The advantage of these temperatures is I can once again park my bike without issue in my normal location Smile

Secure, indoor parking at the new gig. Cool

(which I will take advantage of when it is not 20°F)

Already told the wife I'm dropping $ on a proper road bike this year. I'm done commuting almost 40 miles on a 28 lb Hybrid.

Please keep an eye out for any killer deals on used road bikes. I'm looking for a 56-58cm size in the $1,200 range. Thanks!

A friend of mine has a Cannondale CAAD 10 size 56.
Let me know if that is something you might like.

AS, you want a 56. Maybe even a 54.
